The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) and the visiting Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), saw Monroe's softball squad achieve victory over Garinger by a count of 30-15.

The Redhawks now sport a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anson for a Rocky River 2A/3A match on Tuesday, April 18. Monroe will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 6-8.

With the loss, Garinger falls to 2-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC) to face the Cougars in a Southwestern 4A match on Tuesday, April 18. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 2-10. Charlotte Catholic lost 8-5 in their recent non-league match against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC)
