The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) and the visiting Valhalla Norsemen (El Cajon, CA), saw Helix's softball squad nip Valhalla by a count of 2-1.

The Highlanders now sport a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host Granite Hills for a Grossmont Hills match on Wednesday, April 19. Helix will face a Eagles squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Valhalla falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Norsemen host West Hills (Santee, CA) to face the Wolf Pack in a Grossmont Valley match on Wednesday, April 19. The Wolf Pack enter the match with a record of 10-6. West Hills won 16-1 in their recent league match against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA)
