In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Summit Hilltoppers baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Brearley Bears.
The Hilltoppers (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Dayton (Springfield, NJ). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Dayton was edged by Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ), 5-4, in a non-league game.
The Bears (3-4) will now prepare for their game against New Providence (New Providence, NJ). The Pioneers go into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, New Providence tipped Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ), 11-1, in a non-league game.
