The Lanphier Lions baseball team (Springfield, IL), was overwhelmed 17-0 in Wednesday's league outing with the host Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL)
The Titans now hold a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Washington for a non-league outing on Friday, April 19. Glenwood will confront a Panthers team coming off a 7-5 league win over Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 11-3.
With the defeat, Lanphier falls to 2-12 on the season. The Lions host Lincoln (Lincoln, IL) to battle the Railsplitters in a Central State Eight test on Friday, April 19. The Railsplitters come into the test with a record of 8-7.
