The Marion Wildcats baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Sikeston Bulldogs to 0 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Wildcats (14-5) will now prepare for their match against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL). The Rams go into the South Seven match with a 6-12 record. In their last match, Mt. Vernon was overwhelmed by Breese Central (Breese, IL), 1-0, in a non-league match.

The Bulldogs (0-13) will now prepare for their match against Central (Cape Girardeau, MO). The Tigers go into the Class 5 District 1 match with a 6-16 record. In their last match, Central gained a win over New Madrid County Central (New Madrid, MO), 5-3, in a non-league match.
