In Wednesday's non-league game, the host St. John's Mavericks baseball team scored a nice 17-1 victory over the West Houston HomeSchool Thunder.
The Mavericks (17-5) will now prepare for their game against St. John XXIII (Katy, TX). The Lions go into the non-league game with a 16-5 record. In their last game, St. John XXIII was overwhelmed by Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX), 6-5, in a league game.
The Thunder (16-15) will now prepare for their game against Cypress Christian (Houston, TX). The Warriors go into the non-league game with a 14-9 record. In their last game, Cypress Christian overcame Legacy Prep Christian Academy (Magnolia, TX), 4-3, in a league game.
