The Hazleton Area Cougars baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting North Pocono Trojans to 5 in the Cougars non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Parkland (Allentown, PA). The Trojans go into the non-league match with a 7-2 record. In their last match, Parkland tipped Northampton (Northampton, PA), 4-2, in a league match.
