Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Alliance Aviators (Alliance, OH), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host South for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. Springfield will face a Rebels squad coming off a 9-3 league loss to Chardon (Chardon, OH). The Rebels record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Alliance falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Aviators travel to Salem (Salem, OH) to face the Quakers in a Eastern Buckeye challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Quakers enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Salem won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Struthers (Struthers, OH)
