Ohio High School Softball - Martins Ferry bounces Beaver

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) and the visiting Beaver Beavers (Lisbon, OH), saw Martins Ferry's softball squad nip Beaver by a count of 7-1.

The Purple Riders now sport a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Linsly for a non-league match on Thursday, April 18. Martins Ferry will face a Cadets squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV). The Cadets record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Beaver falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Beavers host East Palestine (East Palestine, OH) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Thursday, April 18. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 2-3. East Palestine lost 15-5 in their recent non-league match against Beaver (Lisbon, OH)
