Shenandoah Raiders (Middletown, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cowan for a Mid-Eastern challenge on Thursday, April 18. Shenandoah will battle a Blackhawks squad coming off a 15-2 league loss to Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN). The Blackhawks record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, Blackford falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Elwood (Elwood, IN) to battle the Panthers in a Central Indiana challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Elwood won 18-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Sheridan (Sheridan, IN)
