The Goreville Blackcats (Goreville, IL) softball routed the visiting Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats (Carrier Mills, IL), 20-5 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Blackcats (9-10) will now prepare for their bout against Trico (Campbell Hill, IL). The Pioneers go into the Black Diamond West bout with a 11-3 record. In their last bout, Trico toppled Goreville (Goreville, IL), 12-4, in a league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Crab Orchard for a Greater Egyptian bout on Friday, April 19. Carrier Mills-Stonefort will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Galatia/Thompsonville (Galatia, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 14-4.
