Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cosby Titans (Midlothian, VA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they host Midlothian for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. Godwin will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Cosby falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Powhatan (Powhatan, VA) to battle the Indians in a Dominion challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Powhatan won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA)
