Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting RHAM Raptors (Hebron, CT), 18-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Newington for a Central Connecticut - South challenge on Thursday, April 18. Maloney will battle a Nor'easters squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Berlin (Berlin, CT). The Nor'easters record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, RHAM falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Raptors host Lewis Mills (Burlington, CT) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Lewis Mills won 14-0 in their recent non-league challenge against South Windsor (South Windsor, CT)
