St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), 11-1 in a non-league test.

Coming up next, the Indians clash with the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A test, on Friday, April 19. St. Stephens will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Red Tornadoes come into the test with a 2-11 record after their 11-1 league loss to North Iredell (Olin, NC).

The Red Devils (0-11) will now prepare for their test against Bandys (Catawba, NC). The Trojans come into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Bandys was routed by North Davidson (Lexington, NC), 7-1, in a non-league test.
