In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Bauxite Miners baseball team scored a close 12-11 win over the Arkadelphia Badgers.
The Miners (14-7) will now prepare for their game against Mills University Studies (Little Rock, AR). The Comets go into the 4A Region 5 South game with a 7-7 record.
Next, the Badgers play the De Queen Leopards (De Queen, AR) in a 4A Region 7 game, on Friday, April 18. Arkadelphia will attempt to improve on its 15-3 season record. The Leopards go into the game with a 13-4 record after their 13-3 non-league win over Dierks (Dierks, AR).
