In Thursday's non-league bout, the Collegiate Cougars (Richmond, VA) baseball squad edged the visiting Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA), by a tally of 4-3.
Next up, the Cougars encounter the Trinity Episcopal Titans (Richmond, VA) in a Virginia Prep bout, on Tuesday, April 22. Collegiate will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Titans enter the bout with a 12-1 record after their 1-0 league win over St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA).
The Cadets (7-10) will now prepare for their bout against Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Mavericks enter the VISAA Virginia Independent bout with a 19-5 record. In their last bout, Miller School of Albemarle edged Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA), 18-0, in a league bout.
