The Danbury Panthers baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Brookeland Wildcats to 1 in the Panthers non-league win on Thursday.

The Panthers now hold a 20-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sabine Pass for a 2A Region IV District 25 test on Tuesday, April 22.

With the defeat, Brookeland drops to 11-2 on the year. The Wildcats host Woden (Woden, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league test on Friday, April 18. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 12-7. Woden won 10-4 in their recent league test against Chireno (Chireno, TX)
