The Cherokee Chiefs baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Carnegie Wildcats to 4 in the Chiefs non-league win on Thursday.
The Chiefs now own a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they host Waukomis for a non-league test on Thursday, April 17. Cherokee will clash with a Chiefs team coming off a 10-8 league win over Garber (Garber, OK). The Chiefs record now stands at 13-7.
With the defeat, Carnegie drops to 10-11 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Hobart (Hobart, OK) to clash with the Bearcats in a non-league test on Monday, April 21. The Bearcats go into the test with a record of 2-11.
