The Rice Memorial Green Knights baseball team scored 22 runs and held the visiting Saranac Spartans to 4 in the Green Knights non-league win on Thursday.

The Green Knights now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Champlain Valley Union for a Metro test on Thursday, April 24.

With the defeat, Saranac drops to 5-1 on the year. The Spartans host Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY) to clash with the Cougars in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I test on Monday, April 28. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 2-3. Northeastern Clinton won 16-5 in their recent league test against AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY)
