The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) and the host Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA), observed Monticello's softball team notch a victory over Albemarle by a tally of 16-5.

The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors go into the non-league bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, Western Albemarle gained a win over Goochland (Goochland, VA), 9-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 18. Albemarle will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Storm go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 24-4 non-league loss to Riverheads (Staunton, VA).
