The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Petoskey Northmen (Petoskey, MI) and the host Elk Rapids Elks (Elk Rapids, MI), observed Petoskey's softball team get by Elk Rapids by a tally of 13-10.

The Northmen (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI). The Trojans go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record.

In their next game, the Elks clash with the St. Francis Gladiators (Traverse City, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 21. Elk Rapids will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record.
