In Thursday's non-league match, the host Henderson County Colonels softball team scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Owensboro Red Devils.
The Colonels (8-0) will now prepare for their match against Webster County (Dixon, KY). The Trojans go into the non-league match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Webster County tipped Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY), 10-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 18. Owensboro will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the match with a 3-0 record after their 14-4 non-league win over Butler County (Morgantown, KY).
