The New Providence Pioneers lacrosse squad scored 12 points and limited the host Columbia Cougars to 5 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pioneers now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Summit for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 19. New Providence will clash with a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 9-5 league loss to Delbarton (Morristown, NJ). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Columbia falls to 0-5 on the year. The Cougars host West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ) to clash with the Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 24. The Knights go into the challenge with a record of 3-4. West Essex won 11-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Sparta (Sparta, NJ)
