Hillman Tigers (Hillman, MI) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI), 7-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Hillman upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Tigers travel to Bridgman (Bridgman, MI) to face the Bees in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 19. The Bees enter the contest with a record of 3-0.

The Tigers now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Au Gres-Sims for a North Star contest on Thursday, April 24. Alcona will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-1.
