Washington High School Softball - Lakewood bounces Anacortes

April 17, 2025: Arlington, WA 98223

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA) and the visiting Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA), observed Lakewood's softball team prevail over Anacortes by a tally of 9-0.

The Cougars (3-6) will now prepare for their bout against Sehome (Bellingham, WA). The Mariners go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout with a 4-6 record. In their last bout, Sehome was routed by Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA), 22-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Seahawks clash with the Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Saturday, April 19. Anacortes will attempt to advance on its 3-7 season record. The Storm go into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 26-3 league loss to Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA).
