In Thursday's league match, the host Fairfield Falcons softball team scored a nice 19-9 win over the Angola Hornets.

The Falcons (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Jimtown (Elkhart, IN). The Jimmies come into the non-league match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Jimtown was routed by South Central (Union Mills, IN), 5-1, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Hornets face the Lakeland Lakers (LaGrange, IN) in a Northeast Corner contest, on Saturday, April 19. Angola will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Lakers enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 4-3 league win over Westview (Topeka, IN).
