The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Clay City Eels (Clay City, IN) and the host North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN), observed Clay City's softball team prevail over North Central by a tally of 13-1.

The Eels (6-1) will now prepare for their bout against Northview (Brazil, IN). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Northview achieved victory over Shakamak (Jasonville, IN), 7-1, in a non-league battle.

With the loss, North Central moves to 0-7 on the season. The Thunderbirds host Eastern Greene (Bloomfield, IN) to encounter the Thunderbirds in a Southwestern Indiana battle on Saturday, April 19. The Thunderbirds come into the battle with a record of 2-3. Eastern Greene won 14-4 in their recent non-league battle against North Knox (Bicknell, IN)
