The New Philadelphia Quakers (New Philadelphia, OH) softball nipped the visiting Claymont Mustangs (Uhrichsville, OH), 6-5 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Quakers now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Madison Comprehensive for a Ohio Cardinal outing on Friday, April 18. New Philadelphia will encounter a Rams team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Lexington (Lexington, OH). The Rams record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Claymont moves to 8-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Fairless (Navarre, OH) to encounter the Falcons in a non-league outing on Friday, April 18. The Falcons come into the outing with a record of 2-11. Fairless lost 16-6 in their recent league outing against Tuslaw (Massillon, OH)
