In Thursday's league test, the Courtland Cougars (Spotsylvania, VA) softball squad overwhelmed the host James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA), by a tally of 13-3.

Next, the Cougars meet the Eastern View Cyclones (Culpeper, VA) in a Battlefield test, on Tuesday, April 22. Courtland will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Cyclones go into the test with a 4-1 record after their 5-4 league loss to King George (King George, VA).

The Yellow Jackets (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Culpeper County (Culpeper, VA). The Blue Devils go into the Battlefield test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Culpeper County prevailed over Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA), 4-3, in a league test.
