The Laporte Wildcats softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting Red Lake County Central Mustangs to 9 in the Wildcats non-league win on Thursday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kelliher/Northome for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 22. Laporte will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Warroad (Warroad, MN). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Red Lake County Central moves to 0-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal (Twin Valley, MN) to confront the Titans in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 22. The Titans come into the battle with a record of 3-5. Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal lost 11-6 in their recent non-league battle against Goodridge/Thief River Falls (Goodridge, MN)
