The Southwestern Piasa Birds the host Quincy Notre Dame Raiders softball squad by a count of 9-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Piasa Birds meet the Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Friday, April 18. Southwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Purple Panthers enter the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 1-0 league loss to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL).
The Raiders (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Carrollton (Carrollton, IL). The Hawks enter the non-league challenge with a 17-0 record.
