Kentucky High School Softball - Symmes Valley bounces Russell

In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Symmes Valley Vikings softball team scored a tight 12-8 win over the Russell Red Devils.

The Vikings (10-1) will now prepare for their match against Lawrence County (Louisa, KY). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 9-3 record. In their last match, Lawrence County was routed by Rowan County (Morehead, KY), 6-5, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Fleming County Panthers (Flemingsburg, KY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, April 19. Russell will attempt to better on its 5-10 season record. The Panthers come into the match with a 5-8 record after their 11-1 league loss to Rowan County (Morehead, KY).
