In Friday's non-league bout, the McLean County Cougars (Calhoun, KY) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Model Patriots (Richmond, KY), by a tally of 12-1.

Next up, the Cougars encounter the Henry Clay Blue Devils (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 18. McLean County will attempt to upgrade on its 16-5 season record.

The Patriots (2-12) will now prepare for their bout against Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY). The Bluehawks enter the non-league bout with a 4-9 record. In their last bout, Bluegrass United was overwhelmed by Christian Educational Consortium (Louisville, KY), 13-12, in a league bout.
