Arizona High School Softball - Sahuaro bounces Desert View

Sahuaro Cougars (Tucson, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Desert View Jaguars (Tucson, AZ), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 11-15 record. They take the field next when they host Pueblo for a 4A Kino challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Sahuaro will face a Warriors squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ). The Warriors record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, Desert View falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Blue Devils in a 5A Southern battle on Tuesday, April 19. The Blue Devils go into the battle with a record of 16-9. Sunnyside won 13-1 in their recent league battle against Buena (Sierra Vista, AZ)
