Mt. Pleasant Oilers (Mt. Pleasant, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dow Chargers (Midland, MI), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Oilers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Davison for a Saginaw Valley challenge on Monday, April 25.

With the loss, Dow falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Chargers host Powers Catholic (Flint, MI) to clash with the Chargers in a Saginaw Valley game on Friday, April 22. The Chargers come into the game with a record of 2-2. Powers Catholic won 10-5 in their recent non-league game against Bentley (Burton, MI)
