Lake Minneola Hawks (Minneola, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host West Port Wolf Pack (Ocala, FL), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Leesburg for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Lake Minneola will battle a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Citrus (Inverness, FL). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 3-9.

With the loss, West Port falls to 13-8 on the campaign. The Wolf pack travel to North Marion (Citra, FL) to battle the Colts in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Colts enter the challenge with a record of 10-9. North Marion won 12-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Buchholz (Gainesville, FL)
