Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Manchester Red Hawks (Manchester, CT), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Southington for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Maloney will face a Blue Knights squad coming off a 10-3 non-league win over Windsor (Windsor, CT). The Blue Knights record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Manchester falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Red hawks host Simsbury (Simsbury, CT) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 20. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 6-0. Simsbury won 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Rocky Hill (Rocky Hill, CT)
