In Tuesday's league match, the visiting St. Joseph Bears baseball team scored a tight 8-3 victory over the Mattawan Wildcats.
The Bears (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Portage Northern (Portage, MI). The Huskies go into the Southwestern Michigan - West match with a 2-0 record.
The Wildcats (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI). The Lancers go into the Southwestern Michigan - West match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Lakeshore was overwhelmed by Portage Central (Portage, MI), 8-7, in a league match.
