In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Mount Pleasant Green Knights baseball team scored a tight 6-3 victory over the Tatnall Hornets.
The Green Knights (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Caesar Rodney (Camden, DE). The Riders go into the non-league game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Caesar Rodney by Sussex Tech (Georgetown, DE), 11-7, in a league game.
The Hornets (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Tower Hill (Wilmington, DE). The Hillers go into the Independent Schools outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, Tower Hill edged Delaware Military Academy (Wilmington, DE), 6-4, in a non-league outing.
