Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Lewis-Palmer Rangers (Monument, CO), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mavericks confront the Holy Family Tigers (Broomfield, CO) in a 4A/5A/3A Northern Colorado challenge, on Wednesday, April 19. Mead will attempt to move on its 9-0 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Greeley West (Greeley, CO).
The Rangers now possess a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Discovery Canyon for a 4A Pikes Peak challenge on Thursday, April 20. Lewis-Palmer will confront a Thunder team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Mountain View (Loveland, CO). The Thunder record now stands at 4-6.
