The Hopewell Vikings baseball team (Aliquippa, PA), was overwhelmed 9-2 in Tuesday's league outing with the host Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA)

The Spartans now hold a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moon Area for a non-league outing on Thursday, April 27.

Next, the Vikings confront the Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, April 20. Hopewell will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Panthers go into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA).
