Salt Lake Academy Griffins (Herriman, UT) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Hunter Wolverines (West Valley City, UT), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Griffins confront the Kearns Cougars (Kearns, UT) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 20. Salt Lake Academy will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Taylorsville (Taylorsville, UT).
The Wolverines now possess a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host West for a 6A Region 2 challenge on Friday, April 21. Hunter will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Taylorsville (Taylorsville, UT). The Panthers record now stands at 6-3.
