Tennessee High School Soccer - McMinn County held off by Walker Valley

The crowd at Tuesday's league test between the Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN) and the host McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN), saw Walker Valley's soccer squad get by McMinn County by a count of 1-0.
The Mustangs now own a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chattanooga Christian for a non-league outing on Thursday, April 20. Walker Valley will play a Chargers team coming off a 4-0 league loss to McCallie (Chattanooga, TN). The Chargers record now stands at 2-4.
In their next game, the Cherokees play the Ooltewah Owls (Ooltewah, TN) in a 3A District 5 outing, on Thursday, April 20. McMinn County will attempt to advance on its 6-5 season record. The Owls go into the outing with a 5-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Cleveland (Cleveland, TN).
