Eastern Comets (Greentown, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Clinton Prairie Gophers (Frankfort, IN), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Comets now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sheridan for a Hoosier Heartland challenge on Thursday, April 20. Eastern will battle a Blackhawks squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Clinton Prairie (Frankfort, IN). The Blackhawks record now stands at 1-8.

With the loss, Clinton Prairie falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Gophers host Sheridan (Sheridan, IN) to battle the Blackhawks in a Hoosier Heartland challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Blackhawks enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Sheridan lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against North Montgomery (Crawfordsville, IN)
