The Coconino Panthers softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Peoria Panthers to 1 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Coconino improves its record to 17-5 on the year. The Panthers travel to Flagstaff (Flagstaff, AZ) to clash with the Eagles in a 4A Grand Canyon game on Thursday, April 20. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 21-6. Flagstaff won 6-5 in their recent league game against Bradshaw Mountain (Prescott Valley, AZ)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Deer Valley Skyhawks (Glendale, AZ) in a 4A West Valley game, on Thursday, April 20. Peoria will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Skyhawks come into the game with a 17-8 record after their 15-2 non-league win over Thunderbird (Phoenix, AZ).
