Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Covington Trojans (Covington, IN) and the visiting Oakwood Comets (Fithian, IL), witnessed Covington's softball squad tip Oakwood by a count of 12-5.

The Trojans now sport a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Milford for a non-league match on Thursday, April 20. Covington will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Salt Fork (Sidell, IL). The Bearcats record now stands at 11-1.

With the loss, Oakwood moves to 4-12 on the season. The Comets travel to Salt Fork (Sidell, IL) to face the Storm in a Vermilion Valley match on Friday, April 21. The Storm go into the match with a record of 13-5.
