The Fairland Dragons (Proctorville, OH) softball nipped the visiting Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), 6-5 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Dragons (9-3) will now prepare for their bout against South Point (South Point, OH). The Pointers go into the Ohio Valley bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, South Point was edged by Chesapeake (Chesapeake, OH), 6-2, in a league bout.

The Red Devils now possess a 8-13 record. They play next when they travel to Boyd County for a non-league bout on Thursday, April 20. Russell will confront a Lions squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Lions record now stands at 15-4.
