Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nansemond River for a Southeastern challenge on Thursday, April 20. Great Bridge will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-0.

With the loss, Lakeland falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Indian River (Chesapeake, VA) to battle the Braves in a Southeastern challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Indian River lost 18-2 in their recent league challenge against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA)
