Ohio High School Softball - Johnstown-Monroe bounces Newark Catholic

The Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH) softball routed the visiting Newark Catholic Green Wave (Newark, OH), 11-4 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Johnnies now own a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Indian Valley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 20. Johnstown-Monroe will battle a Braves squad coming off a 10-3 league win over Ridgewood (West Lafayette, OH). The Braves record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Newark Catholic falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Green wave travel to Licking Heights (Pataskala, OH) to battle the Hornets in a Licking County challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 9-5. Licking Heights lost 16-4 in their recent league challenge against Watkins Memorial (Pataskala, OH)
