Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Von Steuben Panthers (Chicago, IL), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Payton College Prep for a Chicago Public Red challenge on Wednesday, April 19. Taft will battle a Grizzlies squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Lake View (Chicago, IL). The Grizzlies record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Von Steuben falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Northside (Chicago, IL) to battle the Mustangs in a Chicago Public Red challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Northside lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Whitney Young (Chicago, IL)
